We believe that lasting emotional sobriety cannot be achieved alone. At the Second Chance Ranch, you will find a family of individuals committed to a “we” program of recovery and who work together to create an environment conducive to growth, support, and accountability.

We are authentic and adhere to the highest levels of integrity. We believe in doing the right thing, all the time. No matter what. We have the courage to address issues in an honest and open manner.

We accept responsibility for our actions, are accountable for our results, we take ownership of our mistakes. When things don’t go as planned, we use it as an opportunity to learn and improve.

We speak with truth and use our words to encourage and build others up. We do not speak against ourselves or gossip about others. We do the right thing, even when no one is looking.

Our program is designed to provide structure and guidance, while allowing for personal growth and accountability. We  have developed a three level system that helps our residents move towards maturity and independence.

In level two our residents focus on developing core values and emotional growth. We reinforce skills such as sound decision-making, communicating effectively and healthy boundaries. Residents will also begin to volunteer and become a more active member of our community.

In their first thirty days at the Second Chance Ranch, clients will focus on stabilization and integration. In this level we form the foundation of healthy living in recovery. Residents will learn fundamental healthy habits such as self-care, stress management and impulse control.

In Level Three, residents will regularly demonstrate how to apply the tools of recovery in their daily activities and relationships. This level is where we identify academic and career paths. We establish a long term plan that is realistic and attainable for long term recovery. Residents will also contribute as mentors to newer residents.
